Water Heater Services

Water heaters done right, the Prudential way.

When the water goes cold, you need someone you can count on to get it right, right away. We’ll get to the bottom of it quickly, help you understand your options, and see it through from start to finish.

Early Warning Signs

The average water heater lasts between eight and twelve years, and most start showing signs of wear well before they fail. Here are some of the most common things worth paying attention to.

Age

If your water heater has celebrated its 10th birthday, it’s worth having it assessed before it starts giving you trouble. Most units become less efficient and more failure-prone as they age, and planning a replacement is less disruptive than responding to an emergency.

Inconsistent Hot Water

Running out of hot water faster than usual, or getting water that’s never quite hot enough, are common signs that your water heater is losing efficiency or capacity. Both issues are worth investigating before the problem gets worse.

Discolored or Rusty Water

Rust-colored water coming from your hot water taps often indicates corrosion inside the tank. Once a tank starts to corrode, replacement is usually the best solution.

Unusual Noises

Rumbling, popping, or banging sounds coming from your hot water heater are typically caused by sediment buildup on the heating elements. Left unaddressed, sediment reduces efficiency and accelerates wear on the tank.

Visible Leaks or Moisture

Any pooling water or moisture around the base of your water heater warrants immediate attention. Even a small leak can indicate a crack or corrosion in the tank, which is likely to worsen quickly.

Rising Energy Bills

A water heater that’s working harder than it should ot maintain temperature will show up on your energy bills before it shows up anywhere else. Unexplained increases in your costs are worth investigating right away.

Your Options

We’ll help you find the right system.

Hot water needs vary from home to home, and so do the best solutions for meeting them. We take the time to understand your situation before making any recommendations, so whatever we suggest is matched to how you actually live.

What To Expect

Assessment and Preparation

Before any work begins, we take time to assess your existing setup to confirm the right replacement system and make sure everything is ready for installation. We’ll also walk you through what to expect before we start, so there aren’t any surprises along the way.

Removal and Installation

We disconnect and drain the existing water heater, remove it from the space, and install the new system in its place. Depending on the fuel source and system type, this could also include updating connections, adding new elements, or making adjustments to ensure the new unit is installed correctly and safely.

Testing and Walkthrough

Once the new unit is in place and fully connected, we test every component thoroughly to confirm everything’s working as it should. Before we leave, we’ll walk you through the new system so you know how it works, what to watch for, and how to get the most out of it for years to come.

Maintenance Plans

Protecting your new system

We take pride in the systems we install, and we’re glad to be the team that keeps them running well long after the build is complete. Our maintenance plans are designed to do exactly that, protecting your investment and giving you one less thing to think about.

On July 2nd we had a technician come to check out our Air Conditioning. Ryland Lyvers did a thorough job, kept us informed and was very professional at all times. We were totally impressed and will request Ryland in the future. Thank you for sending Ryland so quickly upon our request for service. Our former HVAC company could take some helpful hints from Prudential HVAC!

We have had a service contract with Prudential for several years and have always been satisfied. Every technician they have sent for inspections and service, have all been professional and know their jobs. So now it’s 3 years after I left the first review and Prudential continues to give us great service. We recently bought a new home and had Prudential come out to check things out. Trevor did a great job, was friendly and professional and signed us up for another service contract. I feel better! I highly recommend Prudential Heating and Cooling. We have been in our new home for almost 2 years and continue to have a service contract with Prudential. The 18 year old A/C was beginning to give us trouble. Prudential continued to service it and one of the technicians said we hope to keep it going for 10 more years. That’s the kind of attitude you get from all their technicians. The furnace and coil are in the attic (I’d hate to work up there) and I always look for a reaction from the tech. Never got one from any of the techs, except they were happy to do it. We finally had to get a new unit. Our salesman, Nicholas Steele, was very straightforward and to the point. He didn’t want to take up half your day like some others do. We agreed on a price. The techs kept the old one running till the young crew of 3 installed the new one. Everyone from Prudential was first-rate in every way. I highly recommend getting their service contract.
